When designing my website, I knew I wanted it to be friendly, approachable, and fun. When choosing the background I found art that reflected traditional, Korean clothing, food, and places that was in black-and-white. Although I wanted the site to be fun, but keep a more sophisticated look. To achieve this I went with a black-and-white color scheme. I found a banner reading “welcome to South Korea” in an inviting cursive font that welcomed visitors to the site without overwhelming them with super bright colors. I also ended up choosing a very subtle rounded font that was easy to read.
When it came to coding the website I found myself struggling a bit with some of it. For instance, I really would’ve liked my images in the dining and activities section to have been centered and after many different attempts to do this, I was unsuccessful. To make up for this, I decided that it would be beneficial to make the navigation bar at the top functional to help boost the professionalism of my site.
